BEING HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRED
CUMI aspires to be a family of people committed to Jesus Christ and to each member, who together worship God with love, joy and peace, and seek to be directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22).
APPLYING CHRISTIAN FAITH AND MORAL VALUES
CUMI members hope to know, cater, support and encourage each other in a Christian lifestyle. CUMI members should see it as a duty to apply Christian faith and moral values to every aspect of life as individuals, as a family, at work, in social and community life.
SHARING CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLE
CUMI commits to bringing new people to share her Christian life, and so help them come to a personal experience of Jesus Christ, and their own commitment to Him.
UNITING PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS
CUMI welcomes people (whatever their color or racial group) valuing everyone as a child of God, irrespective of background and past lifestyle, as they come to find Jesus Christ within the fellowship of the Church.
PREPARING PEOPLE FOR THE LORD’S TRANSFORMATION
CUMI remembers only too well the radical transformation which our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, brought about in the life of Saul, who, as a consequence of his experience in the Damascus road, became Paul (Acts 9).
Scriptual Mandate
Gen1:26 – Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Hos4:6 – My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be about A King, A Kingdom and His Royal Children (offspring).
We believe that there is one God; eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, His virgin birth, His Crucifixion, His bodily resurrection on the third day, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in the blessed hope of His return to this earth to receive to Himself His Blood-bought Church that it may be with Him forever.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for one’s personal salvation and restoration to Kingdom citizenship.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer and restores you back to Kingdom living on earth.
We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, with evidence of speaking in other tongues, is given to Believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling enables the Kingdom citizen to live heaven on earth.
We believe that faith is acting on the Word of God and must be the way of life of a Kingdom Citizen.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ and observance of the Lord’s Supper.
We believe in the authority of the name of Jesus.
We believe that tithes and offering is every Kingdom Citizens responsibility and should be given freely to the store house (local church) of membership where God has called you to receive His Word on a consistent basis and to grow spiritually.
We believe in giving alms to the poor, sick, homeless and others in despair and support communities in need with charity programs.
Global Mission
The Christ United Ministries’ mission statement is “proclaiming the gospel of the Kingdom of God, liberating all lands and to unite all race in Christ, Jesus” – Matthew 28:19
